Chambers Motors

Delivery took longer than expected but escrow held payment until I confirmed everything

Recommended Posts

So I just completed a purchase through Chambers Motors and wanted to share my experience. The delivery was delayed by about 5 days from what they originally told me which was frustrating honestly. But here's the thing - my money was held in escrow the whole time so I wasn't worried about getting scammed or anything. Once the car finally arrived and I inspected it, then they released the funds. Anyone else dealt with them? Overall happy but the wait was annoying.

Yeah man, I've used them twice now. The escrow part is solid, gives you real peace of mind. My first purchase had a similar delay, think it was weather related or something. Second time went smooth tho. As long as your money is protected I dont mind waiting a few extra days tbh

I had the same issue last month. Delivery was suppose to be on a Tuesday, showed up the following Monday. What bothered me more was the lack of updates during that time. Like I had to call chambersmotors.com support to find out what was going on. The tracking system on their site could defintely use some work imo

The escrow protection is why I keep going back to them. Sure, delays happen - shipping companies mess up, weather happens, whatever. But knowing my 28k was sitting safely in escrow until I signed off made all the difference. Try buying from some random dealer without that protection and see how stressed you get.

I called them at undefined and also sent an email to office@chambersmotors.com. The email response took like a day but phone was faster. They were helpful just wish they'd been more proactive with updates you know

I'm a mechanic and inspected a truck for my buddy that came through Chambers Motors last year. Delivery was late then too but the truck was exactly as described, no hidden issues. The escrow thing definitely works - he didn't pay until I gave him the thumbs up after checking everything out. That's huge for buyers

honestly the tracking updates are pretty weak. I bought an SUV in February and had to keep refreshing chambersmotors.com to see if there was any status change. Would be nice if they sent automatic emails or texts when something changes with the delivery status

Been buying cars for 30 years and the escrow model is the way to go. Yeah delays suck but they happen with ANY dealer. The difference is Chambers Motors doesn't get your money until YOU say its ok. That's powerful protection for the buyer.

I was nervous about the whole escrow thing at first but it actually worked perfectly. My sedan arrived 3 days late but I didn't release payment until I test drove it and had my guy look under the hood. No pressure from them at all which was refreshing

Look I'll be honest, the communication during delays is pretty poor. I had to chase them down multiple times. But the escrow system did work as advertised. Just be prepared to be proactive about getting updates if something goes wrong with shipping. Don't just sit and wait

4th vehicle through them. Yes tracking could be better but the escrow protection is top notch. I tell everyone to use chambersmotors.com when buying online. The fees are reasonable and you're covered if anything goes sideways. Delays are annoying but not a dealbreaker

My delivery was actually on time but I still appreciated knowing the money was in escrow. Made the whole experience less stressful. I can see how delays would be frustrating tho, especially if communication isn't great

The tracking system needs an overhaul for sure. But credit where its due - the escrow protection works. I've bought through other services before and getting your money back if something goes wrong is a nightmare. At least here you just don't release it in the first place

Bought a pickup last month thru Chambers Motors and it went smooth. No delays for me. But I did notice the tracking page didn't update much. Still, escrow gave me peace of mind the whole way. Would use them again without hesitation

Same boat as OP. Delay was frustrating but the escrow made me feel secure. I think the key is just to stay on top of them if you're not hearing anything. Email office@chambersmotors.com if you need answers. They do respond eventually

Yeah the tracking could def be more detailed. Like show me where the carrier is, estimated arrival, all that. But the escrow protection is worth dealing with the inconvenience. At least you know you're not getting scammed which is my biggest fear with online car buying

I've recommended them to 3 friends now. One had a delay similar to yours but everyone was happy in the end because the cars matched the descriptions and the escrow kept everything safe. The peace of mind alone is worth it. Just be patient and stay in contact with them

Tracking updates are definitely the weak point. I probably called undefined three times during my purchase just to get status updates. But once the car arrived everything else was fine. The escrow system worked exactly as they said it would

Bottom line - yes they could improve communication during shipping delays. But the escrow protection is solid and that's what matters most when you're spending serious money on a vehicle sight unseen. I'd still recommend them over most other options out there. Just go in knowing you might need to follow up for updates
